It’s fair to say that everyone likes a bit of gossip. But there’s nothing like a rumour turning out to be true. Crash Bandicoot: On the Run was first rumoured to be in development around February. This is where adverts on Brazilian Facebook appeared showing off a game called ‘Crash Bandicoot Mobile’, developed by the same people who created Candy Crush, King.
The game has now been confirmed by a Twitter account called Crash Bandicoot: On the Run, which posted a seven-second teaser video of a loading screen. The account itself is following two others, the mobile game developer King, and the Crash Bandicoot official Twitter page.
As this Twitter account has only one post, and neither King nor Activision is ready to say anything about the development of the game, it seems unlikely that we will have Crash Bandicoot mobile this week, but it may well be on its way sometime this year. Either way, it’s a relief that the original gossip, which started earlier this year had some truth to it.
Unfortunately, it’s still too early in the games’ development cycle to give an exact release date. The active Twitter account related to Crash Bandicoot: On the Run does show, however, that they are developing the game:
